Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen coming this week! Here is what to expect

Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen could be announced at the September 7 launch event. Here is all you can expect.

The iPhone 14 series is expected to be the biggest announcement at the Apple event on September 7. However, rumours suggest that Apple could be announcing the Apple Watch Series 8 along with a couple of other Watch models at the event. Now, it is said that we could see the new and highly awaited AirPods Pro 2, or AirPods Pro 2nd Generation at this event. The new model is expected to come with a couple of big upgrades that could change the way AirPods users adapt to the whole thing.

Based on a new leak from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it is said that Apple could be announcing the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen at the September 7 launch event. “I reported last year that new AirPods Pro would arrive in 2022, and now I’m told that Wednesday will be their big unveiling,” says Gurman in his newsletter. This would be a big deal for AirPods fans, considering the current generation model has been around for almost three years. That’s too long for the tech industry.

AirPods Pro 2 launching tomorrow!

Previous leaks have talked about the expected upgrades with the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. it is said that the new model will get an upgraded H2 chipset inside. This new chip should allow for improved audio quality, and a longer battery life. Additionally, the new model could also feature a new charging case with Find My support. We could also expect improved in-ear detection, fitness tracking capabilities, and more. The new AirPods Pro could also support Bluetooth LE Audio which would allow it to connect to two devices at once.

Some leaks also suggested the case to have an in-built speaker and microphone for better accessibility support. The earbuds themselves should offer much better audio quality than the predecessor.

What remains to be seen is the pricing of these earbuds. The current generation AirPods Pro still carry an exorbitant price and the new model could only drive prices higher. The outgoing model has been on sale since 2019 and was only updated last year to include support for MagSafe wireless charging.

Other than the AirPods Pro 2, we are also excited to see the new budget Apple Watch that could be cheaper than the Apple Watch SE.
