Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled to begin this month. The fifteenth edition of the competition will be played in the United Arabia Emirates from August 27 to September 11. Originally, Sri Lanka were scheduled to host the competition but the Asian Cricket Council had to shift the venue due to the political unrest in the country. Asia Cup is making a return after a long gap of 4 years.

The last edition was played in 2018 with UAE being the venue at that time too. UAE will be hosting the continental championship for the fourth time. UAE have been a happy hunting ground for Team India as they have won all the three editions held in the country. The Men in Blue are the defending champions and will be looking to extend their dominance in Asia Cup in the upcoming tournament.
