Despite all the talk to the contrary, will Apple launch the iPhone 14 mini instead of the rumoured iPhone 14 Max? Here’s what the latest leak claims.
The iPhone 14 mini is not dead! And the iPhone 14 Max seems to be dead ahead of arrival. Yes, that is what the latest leak claims. In fact, the leaks and rumours so far around iPhone 14 mini have managed to convince everyone that the mini will be killed off this year. Instead, we will get a new giant offering, literally, from Apple, tipped to be called either iPhone 14 Max or Plus, which will be as big as the giant iPhone 14 Pro Max itself. If the iPhone 14 Max does get launched, it will be the first time that a non-Pro iPhone would have got a massive 6.7-inch display. The surprise has been unveiled by noted tipster Evan Blass who reported, via 91Mobiles, that the iPhone 14 launch will actually see the unveiling of the iPhone 14 mini. Even Blass hasn’t mentioned anything about the iPhone 14 Max.
The report via Blass listed the new mix of iPhones and iPads that Apple is poised to unveil during its September Fall event. The list comes from one of Apple’s top-tier channel partners in the Asia-Pacific region who has begun making preparations to sell the upcoming Apple products, Blass mentioned. The product pages for the incoming iPhone 14 smartphones and some iPad devices prepared by this partner have listed one of the unexpected models – the iPhone 14 mini. Here’s the list:
- iPhones: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 mini, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iPads: iPad 10.2 (10th generation), iPad Pro 12.9 (6th generation), and iPad Pro 11 (4th generation).
Evan Blass claimed, “We can be fairly confident in the accuracy of this Asian partner’s information – it’s one of Apple’s largest distributors in the market that it serves.”
However, there are chances that this is just a mistake by the anonymous distributor. So, be prepared for a big surprise on the Apple launch event day.
But as of now, Apple has been silent about all the leaks and rumours that have become rage on the Internet regarding the iPhone 14 series. As always, it does not distribute any promotional marketing content to its partners prior to major launches of the flagship series. And therefore, this time it is not expected to be any different. All we can do is wait for the arrival of the iPhone 14 launch date this September, most probably 7th September.
