In an interview with a news portal, the designer-turned-actress said that she has grown up watching a certain style of acting in Hindi cinema, which, according to her, is typically an exaggerated form. So she didn’t know if there is an audience for the subtle performance that she does. She also added that with OTT, a new style of acting is being appreciated. So, Masaba feels validated.
When asked if she has any plans to do films in Bollywood, Masaba stated that she has a full life being an entrepreneur. Until it absolutely fulfils her as an actor, she won’t do a film. The designer also added that Bollywood will do what it does — they will still cast the 10 people that they always have been casting. She hopes to do a lot more work on OTT.
The next season of ‘Masaba Masaba’ also stars her mother Neena Gupta, Neil Bhoopalam, Ram Kapoor, Kusha Kapila and Barkha Singh in key roles.
