However, alert troops foiled their sinister plot by eliminating two terrorists who were on a suicide mission. Three soldiers including JCO were also martyred during the operation.
During wee hours today, an alert sentry on duty detected two suspicious persons approaching their post taking advantage of the inclement weather and dense foliage.

On being challenged by the sentry, the duo lobbed a grenade toward the Army post and attempted to gain entry inside the post.
However, the alert troops cordoned the area and engaged in an exchange of fire, and finally pinned them down.
In the ensuing encounter, two terrorists were neutralised.

For the last two days, these terrorists on suicide mission were camping in the Darhal area. A CCTV camera installed in one of the shops in Darhal market captured movement of these gun-toting terrorists.
To checkmate security agencies the terrorists were wearing uniforms of special operation group (SOG). Arms and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
