As he discussed the current issues surrounding the non-issuance of NOCs to the players, Shahid Afridi made a significant disclosure regarding Pakistan cricket.

Concerns about the Pakistan Cricket Board’s granting of No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to players for participation in international competitions have made headlines during the past week.

After it was revealed that PCB had refuted the claim, the board forcefully refuted the claim in response. Shahid Afridi, a former leader of Pakistan and one of that nation’s most well-liked cricketers, spoke in-depth about the worries surrounding the NOCs on Tuesday.
Afridi claimed that former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and ex-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed had advocated for the formation of one as soon as the discussion shifted to the lack of a players’ organization that could speak for Pakistani cricketers. The board “would never let that happen,” though.

“Inzi Bhai and Mushi Bhai had advocated for it (player’s association), but we knew the board will never make it happen,” they said. It is a very wonderful thing to have a players’ association,” stated Afridi on Samaa TV.

Speaking further on the question, Afridi asserted that the board has consistently attempted to “please the captain.”
“I will not accept the name of any captain. However, the board’s only goal is to appease the captain and comply with his demands. Players’ problems do not matter. The captain is the key factor. The team will concur with the captain’s decision. The players will sign anything the captain asks them to.”

“The fact that the board is appeasing the captain is unknown to the players. These things have happened and continue to happen. Players still experience issues. The establishment of a players association will therefore be very advantageous, according to a former cricketer who played for Pakistan in 398 ODIs and 99 T20Is.”

Before participating in the Asia Cup, the Pakistani team will play a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands later this month.
