Vivo V25 Pro leak suggests the Dimensity 1300 chipset at the helm along with a colour changing back. Here are all the details.
Vivo V25 Pro is heading to the Indian market and we have already got our first glimpse in the form of Virat Kohli showing off the phone on social media. Now, a new report reveals a couple of additional features that suggest the V25 Pro will be an entirely new phone for India, despite it looking like the Vivo S15 Pro from the Chinese market. Unlike the Oppo Reno 8 Pro, this one is not getting the upgrade to its chipset and everything else.
Based on the leaked report from MySmartprice, it is said that the Vivo V25 Pro will largely be similar to the current Vivo V23 Pro that launched in India back in January 2022. It states that the phone will likely carry on with the same colour changing back that was first spotted on the Vivo V23 Pro. It will use the same Fluorite AG glass that will change colour shades under the sunlight.
Vivo V25 Pro details and specs leak
The Vivo V25 Pro will also get a “new” chipset in the form of the MediaTek Dimensity 1300, which is a mildly updated variant of the Dimensity 1200 chipset on the Vivo V23 Pro. The phone will also have a AMOLED display with curved edges. The display will have a resolution of FHD+ and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The Dimensity 1300 allows for 5G connectivity and is one of the nice processors to play demanding games. However, this is surprising given the fact that the S15 Pro, on which the phone is expected to be based on, has the more powerful Dimensity 8100 chipset. The Dimensity 8100 offers the same kind of performance as the Snapdragon 888. The Dimensity 1300 offers the kind of performance that is a notch below it.
What remains to be seen is how much does the Vivo V25 Pro cost in India, if these leaked specs come true. The V23 Pro costs Rs. 43,990 at the moment and we expect the new model to carry on with a similar price tag. At this price, the V25 Pro could end up being underpowered incomparison to other Chinese smartphones that offer the Snapdragon 888 and Dimensity 8100 processors.
